The Bustle

Temple Of Love Velvet Bustle Jacket
Temple Of Love Velvet Bustle Jacket by Lovechild Boudoir

Bustle circa 1907

Don't you love the bustle? Between 1867 and 1908 bustles were worn by women in the West under the skirt, attached to the waist. It was meant to keep their long skirt from dragging especially when heavy fabric was used. However by the last quarter of the 19th Century, the bustle became a fashion must. Reviving the bustle has resulted in gorgeous coats such as the one above.

She used to wear Goth....

Antique Victorian Lace Handkerchief from FrenchFrouFrou

My latest Etsy Treasury is all about Monochrome colours - perfect for wearing anywhere and any time you want to make an impression. I figured out some of these fantastic items would be favoured by somebody who used to wear Goth all the time and is slowly weaning herself off that style....  This is the FairyFiligree item that was included.
