Don't you love the bustle? Between 1867 and 1908 bustles were worn by women in the West under the skirt, attached to the waist. It was meant to keep their long skirt from dragging especially when heavy fabric was used. However by the last quarter of the 19th Century, the bustle became a fashion must. Reviving the bustle has resulted in gorgeous coats such as the one above.
